Until The Time Comes

I guess I should write something
So caught up in this balance
For once I did not notice

I took a walk to see who died for me
And who was still in the ground.
Their stones overturned:

Do you know if your death will cause this planet to fall apart?
Do you invoke the thought to prove that science is the art?

A glint from every other stone drew me off guard.
It pulled me off of the path,
But the fence was still there.

After that I could look and continue
I knew they weren’t smiling.

And so I would too one day
If I had died,
And you took a walk and maybe you found me.
